Plant Monitor (2009)
modified computer monitor, dimensions variable
Plant Monitor began as a form observation in 2008. Outmoded computer monitors of various makes, models, and manufacturing dates were being discarded in the hallway of the University of Windsor’s art facilities. I notice that if I tipped a monitor ninety degrees vertically, the heating vents could act as draining holes and the shell could house soil and a plant. I then built the rough prototype shown above.
