David vs. Goliath. We all know how that story ends. But what was David doing before he met Goliath? He was a shepherd. David went through years of hardship, and I’m sure he often questioned why during that season. Then one day, God called him forward. By that time, he had already developed the skills and integrity to be faithful to God’s calling—to slay Goliath and eventually become King of Israel.
