Caffeinated Thought of the Week:

Ever get a text message or work Slack message and it reads a certain way that portrays the person has some type of beef with you? Then you start playing a story in your head and turn this person into a Disney Villain. Chances are I’m guessing most of the time it was some type of miscommunication and this person doesn’t have it out for you.

3 Ways to Get to Text Message Truth:

  1. Give people the benefit of the doubt, unless they have hurt you before.
  2. Run your situation past a trusted person before you confront the person.
  3. If you can’t shake the comment, don’t send an attitude-filled message. Ask to sync up in person and see what’s going on.

Quote of the Week:

“Remember, man does not live on bread alone: sometimes he needs a little buttering up.” - John C. Maxwell (I don’t know about you there’s nothing like some butter on a piece of good bread.)

Challenge of the Week:

On the flip side, no one ever questions an encouraging message. It might feel weird at first but no one is like “I can’t believe they said they are proud of some decision I made.” or “Man, it doesn’t feel good to have someone praying over my life.”

Choose one person and send them a word of encouragement or that you are specifically praying for an aspect of their life.
